Betrayal
I don't know you.
The person
I thought I knew
Would have (could have)
never done
the things
that you did.
I
don't
know
you.

Reason
Though it was an accident that killed her
she died of a broken
Heart.

I wake
I wake and reach for you
and you are with me
and I am content.
Getting back to it
I’ve been musing about writing again and am challenging myself to write a poem a day. Here. Stay tuned.
I love Sunday
I love Sunday because I get to go and worship, rest, reflect, connect with my church family, have dinner out with Kyle and all these things refresh my soul and help me tangibly press the reset button on life. We get so easily led off track by worry and work. Â (right?) Blessed.
Reset
I love summer: clearing my head, getting organized around hearth and home, cleaning out the garage (finally), rest. Â It provides a much needed opportunity to press the reset button on life, to reflect and prioritize and declutter my soul. Â Blessed.

Song thoughts
Dress Rehearsal last night for the concert tonight…very grateful for the Foothills Philharmonic Chorus. Â Singing is very good for the soul. Â The lyrics, the harmonies, the complex arrangements, all the concentration it takes to get it ‘just right’. Â Blessed to look out and watch one, eyes closed, taking it in, being restored by the beauty of the song, Â Blessed to be a part of this redemptive act. Â Beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning, a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Â Melt away rest of the world with all your persistent troubles…you have no place here.
