Winter Eagle

Soaring over the snow sheltered sphere

Peaceful

Predatory

Your majesty arrests me

I’m grateful

Your presence calls me

Reminds me to worship
The One

The One who orders all things well

The One

Who

Brought you and I together

For now

Just

Now

Before Dawn

Before dawn
Before!
A chorus of birds greet the not yet sun
Confident in their Creator
(who orders all things well)
That it will rise
(the sun)
And so must I
Greet the day with
Faith
Hope
Trust
Joy
Confident expectation

I Can (thanks Dr. Seuss:)

I can worship in a house
I can worship like a mouse
I can worship with a friend
I can worship without end
I can worship with my voice
I can worship without joists
I can worship here and there
I can worship anywhere
I can worship because I am free
I don’t have no chains on me

Used to

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 42: 1-5 (NIV)

I remember how I
Used to
(because)
I was of
 Use to
(and)
Now I am no
Use to
(and)
The sanctuary is defiled

(and so)

I weep and wait
(and)
Crawl into Your lap Papa
(and)
Trust You and yet wait in
 Sadness Hope and Praise

For Him

I love dreaming about and putting together music and imagining the church lifting their hearts and souls and hands and minds to the One who holds eternity in His hands.  Because You are worthy – of all of that and more and because we are healthiest, happiest, most perfectly human, when we connect with the Divine in that way.
