I dreamt
we went
to the animal park
and came home with a
gorilla
a lion
two goats
and gazelle
(more than a few)
Then
The gorilla escaped
And the lions ate
And you came in and
poured coffee on the rug
and I cleaned up the blood
And I said what gives
and you pouted and sulked
I think
I'd rather
be awake
I said
And then
The lions ate
those that were left
as lions will do
Boohoo
Your cheek dances like dust upon
Mine
Gentle in the pre-dawn light
Linger
Silent
Touch and glance suffice to
know and be known
We conspire
