Seen

Good morning you
Your sweet tiny tweet
Pulled me from my office
To the front room window
To find you

Common little tree swallow
Uncommon and precious to me

I see you
I do

Ode to Facebook and Instagram

I feel a lot better
Since I
(mostly)
Left you behind
More

Settled
Focused
Present
Content
Somehow

I feel a lot better
Since I left you behind
I’ve left off
(mostly)
Thinking about being

Famous
(haha)
Popular
Cool
Influential
Somehow
(For now)

Maybe you’ll draw me in again
Like you have before
(Who knows)
Help me (someone) cut those subtle
Nefarious ties
For good because
Thinking about you makes me

Stressed
Nervous
Insecure
Hurt
Sad

I feel a lot better
Since I left you behind
More

Peaceful
Less less
More more
Somehow

I feel a lot better
Since I left you behind

It’s been a good
Goodbye

Bye

Man in the Moon

Oh Full Moon
(Man in the Moon)

I used to believe

You were watching

Me

Looking down with love
(or at least benevolence and compassion)

Looking down
On my simple little life

Seeing me
(And smiling)

I used to believe
(Who am I kidding)

Still do
It’s true

Shine on
Shine on
Me

Knock-offs

Grace me to prefer

Your voice
Your peace
Your provision
Your strength

Above

All

Else

(knock-offs one and all)

Grace me to prefer

Your

Good

Way

Fit

Finding where we fit

Mitt
Pit
Quit
Lit
Wit

You’re

Too much
Too little
Not quite right
Please sit
Down for once
Would ya

Nope

Where I’ve been

Heyho. I hope you’ve been well. I’ve been preoccupied with some editing projects — one personal – a book of prose I’m working on and two for others and also this (I had an opportunity to preach and that was super fun — minute 43 if you want just the message). Getting back at it now. Musing about where to take my work and re-designing my blog page (I need courage for that kind of work– how ’bout you!).

Peace and grace to you on your way today.

Warmly, Colleen

Geese cry
Blackbirds sing
Children scream unfettered free

Crows caw
Magpies chat
Wind whips dry winter grass

Frogs croak
I laugh

Perfect
Dance

Dry Wells

The drought of

Love
Grace
Kindness
Faithfulness

Can come as no surprise

How could it be otherwise
(not drinking from the Source an all)

Dry wells
Dry wells
Dry wells

Hold no water

Quench no thirst
